The Taskforce has initiated pharmacy education country case studies in seven countries in Africa (Ethiopia, Malawi, Zambia, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya). The studies will focus on developing and evaluating tools which would facilitate local education capacity and quality improvement. They will also include research to examine education challenges and solutions and foster better understanding of the process of engaging government and other stakeholders to enable education development. This research is currently in the early stages of planning and will be conducted over the next two years by experts at the local institutions within each country in collaboration with Taskforce.
